1. Shop around
It’s easy as shopping around and looking for the best deals. Insurance is required by the law, but the company you go with isn’t. So why pay 200 if you can get the same coverage for 100? Spend a few minutes on the phone with several companies and see who will give you the best quote.

2. Get your discounts
Are you married? Are you a student? Took driver’s ed or defensive driving recently? Did you know many insurance company offers discounts for such things, and so much more? Your work place may also have a deal with certain insurance companies. Call your insurance company and see what discounts you may qualify for.

3. Know your car for more discounts
Simply having an alarm, anti-lock breaking system, automatic seat belts, or car thief prevention such as LoJack, could lower your insurance. Insurance is about safety, the safer your car is, the lower your insurance should be. Again, check with your insurance company and ask to see what discounts they can qualify you for.

4. Combination of insurance
If your house, car, health insurance are all with one company, there is a high chance of a saving factor because you’re buying the whole package with one company. At lease they should hook you up right? They do. Ask for it. Also if you’ve been with one company for a long time there’s also a thing known as a loyalty discount.

5. Call your insurance company
Call them, see what they can do for you. Just take a few moments out and pick up the phone. You never know what they could qualified you for a lower premium. Insurance companies are business people, you try to work with them, they work with you.
